Egg to Chick

 

The egg to chick program is designed as a short-term project lasting approx. 4 weeks. Incubating and hatching chicken eggs can be made into a project that is simple or as elaborate as you want it to be.  This project is appropriate for students from kindergarten to grade twelve.

 

Orders are now being taken through October Sunday 4th.



Eggs are $15 for 18 eggs. Because of the popularity of this project, only 1 (eggs and/or incubator) order per family. More may become available. Incubators published capacity is 24, HOWEVER only 15-18 eggs per unit is recommended.



Approx. egg delivery/pick-up is Oct. 18-21st. This may change depending on availability. Pick-up point will be downtown Liberty Hill unless previously arranged.



Successful egg hatching will vary and is not guaranteed.



**Space is limited, but we may add a second round if there is enough interest. Dates for 2nd round will be approx. in Nov/Dec.

The chickens supplying us for our project will be a mixture of the following breeds:

Easter eggers

Olive eggers

Black australorp

Production reds

Buff brahma
