Shooting Sports-Archery

 If you enjoy the outdoors and hunting or target practice, you’ll love the shooting sports project! Although we hope to expand some day, Currrently the Liberty Hill 4-H club only offers Archery. This project covers safety and teaches responsible handling and use of bow and arrows. Get ready because this project is hands on. 

Some groups focus on competitive events, and others practice basic shooting programs. We try to do both. 

​All Shooting Sports projects are only open to 4-H registered youth. For saftey reasons, no Clover kids or younger are allowed near the firing line. Due to the nature of this sport, there are quite a few rules that are detailed and important to follow. But remember, fun and safety are the primary goals. These rules should be applied to any activity and event within 4-H Shooting Sports project; these rules supercede those posted in governing bodies such as NRA, USA Archery, NSCA, etc.

The Liberty Hill Archery project has a variety of equipment to get you started. We have several kinds of bare bows, arrows, finger tabs and quivers.
