Liberty Hill 4-H Club

Food and Nutrition
If you want to be a star in the kitchen, try the food & nutrition project! You’ll learn kitchen and cooking safety, how to prepare nutritious meals and snacks, and meal ideas to reduce your risk of disease. Learning experiences focus on nutrition, food purchasing, food preparation, food safety, and related careers.
The food and nutrition project is a favorite and popular among the youth. Whether you are a new cook or expert in the kitchen, all are welcomed to this project. Clover kids are welcomed but will need to have an adult attend and monitor them to keep them safe.
The competition for this project are primary in the fall, so we jump right in with getting your youth ready if they wish to participate. Food show is an individual competition. 4-H kids will create a dish with in the 4-H state set theme and category. Food Challenge is a team event. 3-4 youths will join together to form a team and compete as a group. This is a super fun event and more information will be shared at the meetings or see the links below.
