Fashion and Interior Design

       Do you like to be creative in what you wear and the space around you? The 4-H Fashion and Interior Design program is perfect for you. In this project you can learn to design, construct and be a smart consumer when purchasing clothing and household items. Have fun creating environmentally friendly projects while exploring careers in the fashion and interior design industries.

This year I will be continue with our regular monthly meetings as well as adding a special time for those who want to focus on learning how to sew. This is a very important skill that I believe all kids should learn, however trying to teach kids to sew with one meeting a month is not productive, so I will be offering a 6–8-week workshop held once a week. Details are still being worked out, so there is more information to come. I hope to start in beginning of next October. 

In the meanwhile, at our monthly meetings, we will continue to learn about fabric characteristic, garment care, fashion sustainability, good design in fashion as well as Interior Design and much more.

       In the spring, we also focus on several competition. Participation is not required but encourage. Fashion Show, Duds to Dazzle and Storyboard. More information about these will be shared at the meetings
